A post from my friend about upholding freedom

I want to say thank you for allowing me to voice what is hugely concerning me. If, after reading the facts I am presenting,  anyone has different facts… please speak up.
History is unfolding… and its doesn’t look good for our nation if we don’t realize that “give away for nothing” policies or reducing our personal freedoms are ruining this Great Nation… and it is happening under the illusion of “what is best for our safety”.

I just pray that WE THE PEOPLE can set aside our minuscule differences and stop burying this upcoming election in “details” that don’t matter in the greater scheme of what is really important… “losing” our personal freedoms to an administration that feels it can override the people’s will and side step congress and the senate through executive orders, just because our president feels it is “best”.  It is not his right nor his job under the foundation of the freedoms established in our constitution!
Should our government protect its people by governing unscrupulous corporations, or control price savagers YES it is their purpose? Should our government keep a check on companies so they do not grow into monopolies or should our government protect its shores from invasion… yes… absolutely… this is equally their purpose.
Yet, it is NOT the government’s purpose to make choices for how you or I should live our lives or “force” us to “take care of” irresponsible individuals or those that illegally entered this country and don’t contribute to our economy and instead continue to weaken it by “taking” instead of giving back to the nation that is supporting them to be free of oppression.
The biggest fact starring us in the face is that Obama has repeatedly “overrode” the will of the “majority” of the people of the United States, the senate and congress under his executive orders. Orders he forced into law that expects its US citizens to support those illegally in this country or those who have learned to use the “system”… “repeatedly” to live their lives as they teach their children to do… through different welfare handouts. This in my mind weakens its people. It does not encourage them to use their God given gifts to expand their well being, and the well being of their children to improve their lives and to contribute to the greater good.
It is the government’s job to protect our US Constitution which was established to provide WE THE PEOPLE an environment to create opportunities for the pursuit of happiness and long-term prosperity. It is not the government’s job “to be” responsible for those that aren’t responsible for themselves and their choices, or… then make others who are responsible take care of them… that is Marxism… NOT freedom of choice… freedom of choice is what our Constitution ensures.  Removing any personal freedom of choice… we then loose our individual rights in the pursuit of happiness.  Happiness and freedom breeds true prosperity.
When you look with a magnifying glass at the truth of where our country is today we all should know by now that Obama “won’t” and “can’t” rebuild this nation into being great again… how can I say that so boldly… first and foremost because he has not lived up to his word, and what his 2008 platform was built on.  Actions speak louder than words.
His platform in 2008 was built on reversing the USA PATRIOT ACT… when he had the opportunity to reverse it, as he promised, he didn’t.  Obama, through his “give away for nothing” policies has our nation trillions of dollars in debt with his “HAND OUT” spending and it’s not ending. This is the opposite of what he promised.
The biggest concern we should ALL have about Obama is he doesn’t uphold our Constitution; he has weakened it because he has been sidestepping Congress through his “We Can’t Wait” initiative, a series of executive actions that “Obama claims” benefit the middle class through infrastructure projects and economic policy changes. He also skirted Senate approval when he appointed nominees to the National Labor Relations Board and to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The appointments were unprecedented because he made them when the Senate was technically “not” in recess.
Obama has changed federal policies on immigration and welfare and appointed officials “without” congressional approval. This frightens me because we have a system that built this nation into being a world leader that is continuing to be erased by sidestepping our foundation for greatness… the US Constitution. ENOUGH!
Let us remain diligent on how we relate to our government. We must insist on an “open” government instead of being brainwashed into the “government knows best” mentality that is eroding this nation.
The importance of speaking up and taking action is realizing it is time the American people hold our government accountable for upholding our Constitution… it starts with our vote… every vote either ensures our freedoms… or allows them to go by the away side because WE THE PEOPLE did not take a stand. Let us also remember that our responsibility doesn’t end with a vote… it continues by holding our elected officials accountable. Then and only then will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity turn around.
I don’t blame Obama how could he truly know how to lead when he was void of and leadership experience. I quote: “Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world’s largest economy, direct the world’s most powerful military, execute the world’s most consequential job?
Imagine a future historian examining Obama’s pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a “community organizer”; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of “his attention”, so often did he vote “present”); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama’s “spiritual mentor”; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama’s colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?
Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass – held to a lower standard – because of the color of his skin.” Matt Patterson (columnist – Washington Post, New York Post, San Francisco Examiner, ”American Thinker”)
When I look at our president I do not see color or creed I see incompetence and an arrogance unfitting the leader of this nation. The last debate recorded such where a nation and the watchful eyes of the world viewed the same. My eyes were teared with sadness.  It is NOT too late!
WE THE PEOPLE have to look beyond the political nonsense that we are being continually blasted with. Nonsense that buries us in confusing legislation which requires the IQ of a genius to understand its counteractions. We can defend to the hilt the different policies the Democratic or Republican Parties spout yet, what is really frightening is… what has been “forced into law” through Obama’s policies. Policies that are simply warmed-over Marxism… the kind of policies that has failed over and over again in other countries for 100 of years. Let’s not follow in the footsteps of other countries that have made the same mistakes of erosion through “give away” polices. Let us learn from history and reverse this course of “giveaway for nothing” madness.
Let us stay focused on the real issue. 
DEFENDING OUR CONSTITUTION and our right to freedom of choice!  
We must stop our president… or any future president from overriding through executive orders the foundation this country was built on by standing up and being FOR our constitutional rights… freedom of choice!
Let’s not bury our heads in the endless debate of defending a certain political party. Let’s realize that this IS NOT ABOUT Democrat verses Republican or the reverse, it’s about retaining our freedoms by NOT giving them away for the illusion of a safely that does not exist when “freedom of choice” becomes the price.
The bottom line to what is occurring is “how” we are weakening our Constitution by allowing our government to take “care of us” when that is what our constitutional right ensures… liberty… by allowing each individual the “responsibility” to choose and be responsible for how we should live our lives and pursue happiness.  Yet, this is EACH INDIVIDUAL’S RESPONSIBILITY…  NOT OUR GOVERNMENT!
It is time for us to be responsible for the kind of government we want, one of freedom of choice or one that takes aways our freedoms.
Quite openly, I am not 100% for Mitt Romney… I do not agree with his point of view on women’s rights to NOT choose what is only between them and God… individual beliefs should remain separate from government.  This is the freedom our Constitution ensures.
However, at this stage of the game Romney is our only other choice… at least give him the opportunity to turn things around… because Obama’s path is full speed ahead on giving us more of what has already weaken this great nation and we already KNOW HE WON”T uphold our constitutional rights… his record proves it!
Our founding fathers had it right over 200 years ago.

Stand up… vote for freedom! Vote Romney.
This says quite a bit..  I’ll followup more on the importance of the spirit of the constitution….. it provides the power of choice!

It’s more important to stand for something than against something

It’s more important to stand for something than against something….  Why?  Because whatever you focus on you give power to, and will ultimately come into reality.  When you stand against something what are you thinking about?  That something that you are against.  So all of your energy and focus goes into the thing you don’t want to have in your life.  This concept works in any area in your life…. relationships, work situations, family, financial, health, etc.

There is a saying by Earl Nightengale that says “You get what you think about most of the time.”  Look back in your life at the times when you put a tremendous amount of thought and fear and worry about something?  How did it turn out? Did you end up experiencing some form of what you were worrying about?

It is a habit for us to focus our thoughts this way through socialization and culture.  However that creates more struggle and lack in our lives  and creates much more effort than we need to experience.

So if we were to use this concept in our daily lives,, wouldn’t it make sense to focus on what we want to create instead of what we don’t want to create?  If we focus on what we want to create, we can let providence step in and let the miracles unfold in how what we want comes about.

So way am I mentioning this and how does it apply to the election?

Well, if you take the Anti-Obama stance, then you are focusing all of your energy and thoughts on creating what you don’t want.  That was how Bush stayed in for another term.   There was so much anti-Bush sentiment, that all of that energy ended up going into keeping him in office.  The same thing goes on with the current administration.  If you don’t want a continuation of the current policies, then you have to focus on the what you want in the government.

That is why I am focusing on protecting the Constitution.  If it means the current administration suddenly gets a change of heart and they start doing that, then I’m all for it.  The reason why I am for Romney in this case is because the current administration has proven that it isn’t protecting the Constitution and doesn’t seem like it will in the future base on it’s current actions.  So I will speak with my vote and give Romney a chance.  If he begins to attack the Constitution, or not protect it, then I will focus on replacing him before his term is up.  It’s the President’s job to protect the Constitution and if Romney begins to play fast and loose with it, he needs to be replaced by someone else.  It’s that simple.

There are many things I could stand for.  So why do I pick the Constitution?  Because when you have a strong Constitution, as was done in the Civil Rights era, you can protect the rights of all citizens in our society because you have a solid foundation that you can call on to maintain your rights, which is what the Constitution is about.

How does eliminating your constitutional rights keep you safe?

I first became very concerned about our constitutional rights and the government’s intentions when the Patriot act was passed.  That name in itself is meant to hide the true intentions of the act.   Patriot is “a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.”   The unconstitutional Patriot Act was in complete violation of our constitutional rights under the guise of “protecting us”.  Governments use fear to be able to pass laws that no sane population would pass in any other time.

This current administration got into office under the guise of eliminating the Patriot Act.  When the time came up, they did not eliminate it.  Obama did not keep his promise to the American people, and as a Constitutional lawyer, he should know how much the Patriot Act violates the constitution, it should have been one if his FIRST acts as president.  However since he did not do it in his current term, there is nothing that indicates to me that he will do it in the future.  He had his chance and he showed that he did not truly care about the American people.

In fact, not only did he not follow through on revoking the Patriot act, he further attacked the Constitution by removing people’s freedom on how they can handle their own health care.  The Government does not know better.  Just look at all of the drugs the FDA passed that ended up killing people.  That does not sound like a Government that was protecting your rights as a citizen, which is what a Government should do.

The Constitution is the only thing that will protect your rights as a citizen, and it is the Governments job to uphold the Constitution.  If a government has show that they are unwilling to protect the Constitution (Obama not revoking the Patriot Act for example, like he promised during his campaign), then it is our rights as citizens to vote in a Government that will protect our rights.  Weakening the Constitution to keep us safe from the “bad people out there” only further endangers us because we no longer have recourse to protect ourselves from other institutions.

When we let ourselves be ruled by fear, it can only end up in bad things.  We need to vote in a President who will keep their word when it comes to protecting the constitution and hold their feet to the fire when they don’t.  That’s why I’m voting for Romney and holding his feet to the fire in having him protect the Constitution.  The first thing is removing the Patriot Act. and the Health Care Act.

 

Choices… Life is Built Around Individual Choices. My vote this November!

This is a contribution by a friend of mine.  This is stated in a very strong way that isn’t as rambling as I can get at times!  LOL  Even though we have somewhat similar philosophies in regards to personal freedom, we come from completely different demographic groups (me: afro-american female gen x er who voted for Obama in 2008  her: boomer grandmother (barbie looks) who didn’t vote for Obama in 2008), neither one of us will not be voting for Obama this election.

In November 2012 We the People have a huge choice to make…  “who” do we choose as the individual to run our country, to protect its peoples’ freedoms…             to be our leader, to keep this county free, to be our…  President of The United States of America.

It all started when We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America… or did we forget this core somewhere along the way? Did we unknowingly let go of this foundation of individual freedoms for liberty and the pursuit of happiness that built this great nation? If we did… for what reason did we do this? Did we do this fully conscious of the consequence of what letting our “freedom to choose” go bit by bit and what it would mean to our nation or to us individually?  I think not!  Maybe it is time we wake up to this downfall and set individual personalities, color or creed aside… and remember what we should be voting for… the best individual, the ONE that will, without bias, uphold our Constitution, nothing more or nothing less.

Let’s exam what We the People are voting for and if we are honest about it, it may really come down to defending a certain party that we feel is better than another… skin tones or religious beliefs that, in reality have nothing to do with what we “should” be voting for. What we should be voting for is simple… will this individual without question live up to their vow when they take the oath of presidency and defend our way of life, hold firm to our constitution and uphold the power of the people to choose. What presidential candidate is in favor of restoring the Constitution or at best which candidate will cause the least destruction to its roots, the foundation that built this great nation… the core of freedom that grants the people these God Given rights that our Constitution protects. Will this individual vow to restore this nation to its greatest by returning to what rose it to greatest… our constitution?  YES OR NO!

We already know “who won’t” because that is the direction the current administration already took us… demanding that Obama Health Care be passed…. against the “will” of the people… and Obama’s welfare act… acting solely, and using his presidential power overrode in July 2012  the current Welfare Act that the people wanted.  These two actions by the current president went against the Constitutional Rights of the people to choose. Just these two presidential orders, forget about the others, these two alone created not only ever mounting debit for our country, it stripped away even more personal freedoms from We the People, under the illusion of being “taken care of” by the government. If we look to history as a teacher, then realize giving this power to the government only ends up as history teaches us…  ever mounting oppression of individual freedom. Oppression is what it is… it holds no favor to governmental parties, to color or creed it simply grows by griping the life, the spirit from an individual until one becomes or feels powerless to resist. 

Liberty is the right to choose, freedom is the result of that choice. Unknown 

Obama stripped this freedom from We the People… in just these two acts… are we going to continue this madness… yes or no?  There is nothing more to debate.    Are We the People going to let those we elect serve We the People by upholding our constitution or not?  I say YES… let We the People stand up and end the government controlling our lives! The government exists to protect NOT control.

I hope you can see how the spirit that this great nation was built on is slowly being rubbed away by taking on a philosophy that history has proven has destroyed other countries.  Will we allow this to happen to the United States of America?  YES OR NO!  Remember, what appears on the surface as a kind act is in actuality creating dependency on a government for the basic needs of life and happiness instead of instilling hope, and shaping self esteem in people. Obama’s placed into law policies both on health and welfare that slowly removes the spirit of those individuals by degrading their spirit because it gets them to “fear’ that without the governments help they can’t survive, therefore creating a false NEED to be taken care of by the government.  They will never really be able to create through the joy of discovering their abilities and talents. How many gifts is this society being robbed of because people aren’t encouraged to flourish by using their gifts?  How many more gifts are being snuffed out because this legacy is passed on generation after generation? Isn’t inspiration the soul that built this country… allowing the gifts of each human being to be encouraged not stuffed.

Sovereign rule is possessing supreme or ultimate power: in modern democracies the people’s will is in theory sovereign. OR has it reversed itself where America has taken on a philosophy that destroys instead of build like the founding Fathers of this country put into place when they established our freedoms through the Constitution for the United States of America? Remember, practically the entire country “voted against” Obama Health Care… a program, that when you looked closely at its basic core strips the individual rights from the people to choose… all people not just the wealthy, the middle class and poor will eventually suffer the same consequence when the “right to choose” is taken away, as it has been under Obama Health Care. Yet, here we are with a President that went against the will of the people and had “his way” by forcing his health care into law. This is NOT what our great nation was built on and it is time the people looked deeper at what is happening, become informed… honestly… not through political or religious differences or covering up the real issue with decoys that defuse the truth of what is happening… Americans losing their freedoms through more and more government control.  Remember, what you willingly give away is much harder to retrieve because you gave away  through you will your “freedom to choose”.

This is the effects of more and more government involvement in peoples lives… the effects of government control creates control over its people.  An example of this is the latest fraud against individual freedom for the right to pursue happiness when Obama reversed Welfare “right to work act” in July 2012.  He repealed the education/work requirements of those who receive welfare, so now those who do receive welfare don’t have work or receive education to empower themselves to be self sufficient.  This act does not help those recipients, it in truth harms them because the welfare recipients lost valuable training and incentives to be self-sufficient and grow an inner feeling or deep pleasure of satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired: and instead forced them to rely on the government which only keeps one trapped in subservient mindsets while ever mounting debt that has now reach the trillions under Obama’s resgime.

I trust We the People will look more closely at the truth of where our county is “today”…  what has weaken us from being a world leader to a nation that is trillions of dollars in debt due to a “give away for nothing” philosophy, and by allowing our government to control our choices in the illusion giving this control to the government will keep us safe…  or getting caught in the illusion that security comes from being “taken care” of by…  the government… this kind of philosophy has eroded this nation from being a great leader. Please AMERICA look closely at the give away and take care of philosophy what is decaying the very heart and core of this nation’s foundation and strength.

We as a nation can either choose to slowly lose our personal and national empowerment through a continual decay of our Constitutional rights, or we can chose to stem the advancing tide of continuous disempowering decay. I’m voting for Romney, not because he is a Republican, because I am a registered Democrat, also I am not shying away from voting for him because his religious beliefs are different from mine, I am voting for him because “he” is “now” the better and “only” other choice we have to turn this slippery side of crumbling our great nation around. What will you do to “protect your freedom to choose”? What will you do to protect this country’s Constitution?

Don’t “close your eyes” to what is happening because you don’t want to get involved?  VOTE THIS NOVEMBER.  Forget about the party, color or creed of the individual… vote for the person that vows to uphold the freedoms our constitution granted each and every man, women and child?  VOTE for… Romney.

The real question to ask yourself for this years presidential election

When looking at the presidential candidates this year, you want to ask yourself this question…  Which candidate is most in favor of restoring the Constitution?  Actually the real question should be “Which candidate will cause the least destruction to the Constitution?”

When I mean Constitution, I am talking about the spirit of the Constitution.  That spirit is the right of everyone to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  However, you can pursue happiness, or have life and liberty if you are not able to make clear choices because you don’t have all of the information, or you have no spirit to make those choices.

Our spirit is slowly being rubbed away by the current and past administration.  What keeps us strong in spirit is our ability to be accountable to ourselves and for our choices.  When we are not made accountable for our choices, we lose the ability to truly be able to choose.

An example of this is the latest Welfare act of the current administration.  They have repealed the requirements of those who receive welfare, so now that those who do receive welfare, don’t have work or education requirements.  This act does not help those recipients, but it harms them because the welfare recipients are not being trained to be able to make more empowering choices that allow them to rely on themselves and not have to rely on the government.

This policy slowly removes the spirit of those that are on welfare, because they will never really be able to create through the joy of their talents.  Why exercise your skill and talents when you are given a check for doing nothing every month?  How many gifts is this society being robbed of because people aren’t encouraged to flourish by using their gifts?  How many more gifts are being snuffed out because this legacy is passed onto the next generation?
